Good Food Makes Everything Better

If we are going to build a better food system then it is vital that we start thinking about food issues in a more connected way. Food – how we grow it, how we process it and how we consume it – links into a staggering array of issues on an individual, but also global scale.

If you are new to the topic of food and sustainability, our series of simple fact sheets which show how a sustainable food system can help improve so many aspects of our life and how, if we move beyond the limited thinking of GMOs and other forms of industrial agriculture as a ‘solution’, and towards agroecological systems we can feed ourselves well and make a the world a better place to live too.

The first four in the series – GMOs, Animal Welfare, Health and Waste – were published to coincide with Beyond GM’s participation in a major sustainable food event outside the European Parliament – The Free Lunch – on September 29, 2015. The Climate Change leaflet was published to coincide with the COP21 climate negotiations in Paris.

We are building the library up – it now includes Hunger & Malnutrition, Pesticides and Wildlife – and more topics will be added in due course.
